To help describe the youth Sunday school classes we thought it would be best to ask the youth themselves to tell us what they think of Sunday school. We interviewed 3 youth, here is what they had to say.

What happens during your Sunday school time?
I read stories and play games about the children of Israel. We sing songs and learn about Bible people and the Israelites. - Alicia P. (K-2 class)

We usually start with our story, then we do some activities, our memory verse, then our leaflets. - Nathan S. (3-5 class)

We sit on chairs and talk about things, not always the lesson, either. Sometimes we just have a conversation. Sometimes the conversation is about the lesson, other times it's not. - Claire S. (Senior High class )

What have you been learning about?
Jacob and Esau. - Alicia P.

A lot of parables lately, but it changes. - Claire S.

I think we've been learning about David but I think we started something new. - Nathan S.

Who is your Sunday school teacher? What makes her/him a good teacher?
Nancy and Margaret. They find ways to do things to do with Hanna and me. - Nathan S.

Mary. She explains the Bible stories better. - Alicia P.

Jim! Jim makes the Sunday school experience go round...or square...or something like that. He's pretty crazy. He doesn't approach the lesson as if he's the teacher and we're the students. He gets into the conversation with us. - Claire S.

How has Sunday school helped you grow in your faith?
It's a good time to talk with other Christians, to see what's going on in their life, etc. - Claire S.

It has helped me understand the Bible but Mathew's sermons are interesting and encourage my faith. - Nathan S.

I learn about God. - Alicia P.

What is your favorite part of Sunday school?
When the Wonder Kids say their questions. Singing songs. - Alicia P.

All of it!!! - Nathan S.

When it's over! Just kidding. Sunday school isn't structured, it's basically one big blob of talk. But that's alright by me. I like it that way. When we do the lesson Jim will ask us a few questions, then we go to scripture reading and then we talk about that. It's interesting (in a good way) to hear othr people's interpretation of scripture. -Claire S.

(Thanks Claire, Alicia and Nathan for your great responses!)
